Olen Nathalie Kalbachin järjestämällä Creative JumpStart -nettikurssilla, jonka teemana on tänä vuonna household items eli kotoa löytyvät tarvikkeet. Ensimmäisen kurssivideon (Julie Fei-Fan Balzer: monoprinting and stamping) innoittamana leimasin sivuun kuplamuovilla, vessapaperirullan hylsyllä, tyhjällä jugurttipurkilla, teippirullan hylsyllä, teippirollerin sisältä löytyneellä hammasrattaalla sekä jonkinlaisella vaahtomuoviverkolla, olisiko pakkausmateriaalia. Lisäksi käytin kakkupaperia sapluunana. Kolmannessa kurssivideossa (Suze Weinberg: wrapping paper roll home decor) tehtiin lahjapaperirullan hylsystä seinäkoriste kietomalla sen ympärille erilaisia nauhoja ja naruja; sain siitä idean noihin ympyräkoristeisiin, joihin käytin BasicGreyn muinaisia nartsoja. Lisäsin sotkuisimpaan ympyrään helmitarroja pesämuniksi. Pöllönappi on Sodaliciouksen tuotantoa.
I'm taking the Creative JumpStart online class organised by Nathalie Kalbach – the theme this year is household items. Inspired by video 1 (monoprinting and stamping by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer), I stamped with bubble wrap, a toilet paper roll, an empty yogurt container, a used-up roll of tape, the gear from a tape runner and an unidentified foam mesh thingamajig. I also spread paint through a paper doily. Then I converted the idea from video 3 (wrapping paper roll home decor by Suze Weinberg) into circular embellishments using positively ancient BasicGrey fibres – love how they turned out. Added pearls to one of them to make a little nest with eggs. The owl flair is by Sodalicious. The journaling reads, "In the year 2014 I want to enjoy nature, even in the city."
